Happy New Year! Hope Calendar updates!

Happy New Year!!!

The Hope Calendar campaign to raise funds for Montgomery County Women's Center is still going on - thru the end of January and I am so happy to report early success! On the last day of 2008, I made a quiet donation of $3000 for the first half of the money raised!

We have at least a thousand more but the wonderful volunteers helping to sell them are patiently collecting that money to turn it in at the end of the month and we will donate it then.

If you haven't already (or if you need more) - please visit www.hopecalendar.com and purchase a 2009 calendar... it is an adorable calendar, only $10 each, and the entire proceeds are donated to the women's center :)

Let's see how much we can write that second check for!!!

There are no voting booths or political debates at Life's Images today but I thought it'd be fun to let you be the winner on Election Day! Email me with the name of your favorite good ol' American dish (and recipe if you want!) and you will receive a gift certificate (electronic) for 10% percent off your next order at Life's Images.

Yummy - chicken and dumplings, chicken fried steak, steak on the grill and corn casserole!

Corn Casserole (I am told it is wonderful and simple - you can't mess it up!)
8oz of Sour Cream
1 can corn - drained
1 can creamed corn
1 stick melted butter
1 box Jiffy Cornbread Mix

Mix all ingredients in 9x9 or 13x9 baking dish and bake at 350 degrees for 40 to 60 minutes!!

"Wings for Hope" Events - few spots left!

UPDATED DATES - only a few spots left!

The 2009 Hope Calendar is themed "Wings of Hope" and features children adorned in wings to raise money for Montgomery County Women's Center. The calendar sessions are limited, so we thought it would be a fun way to raise even more money by hosting "Wings for Hope" mini sessions - so that your child can be photographed in the beautiful wings for a donation to the cause!
